Teaching importances and difficulties:

1.The focus of this class is to expand students` understanding of English and its history and encourage them to adopt an positive attitude towards the language development.

2.The difficulty of this lesson lies in students` present action of their ideas. So much time will be devoted to group discussion and language study.

Teaching procedures:

Step = 1 ﹨ ROMAN I .Lead-in

Students have a free talk about their understanding of languages,

and later enjoy the vedio about language.

Step = 2 ﹨ ROMAN II .Pre-reading

Have students read the text quickly to figure out the structure of the text,and then show the following chart.

Task = 2 ﹨ GB3 ② .Careful reading

Have the students read the text carefully to answer the following questions in order to develop the ability to capture important information.
