《Grammar and usage(2): Verbs often used in the passive voice》最新教案优质课下载

The content of my lesson is Learning about language from Unit 2 ( New senior English for China Student’s book 7). The unit is about Robot. In this class, I will enable students to use the words they learned before correctly; besides, they will have a good command of the passive voice and use it properly. Grammar teaching can be very boring, so I will focus on two challenging tasks: to combine grammar with entertainment ; to build up students’ confidence while carrying out moral education.

Part 2 Teaching objects

1. Knowledge objects

(1) Enable students to use the words they learned before correctly.

(2)Get students to use the passive voice in different situations.

2. Ability objects

To train students’ abilities to study by themselves and cooperate with others.

3. Moral objects

(1) To build up students’ confidence.

(2) To cultivate students’ sense of pride for their hometown..

Part 3 the important and difficult points

How to encourage students to express themselves confidently and bravely.

Part 4 Teaching methods

1. Task-based Language Teaching(任务教学法)

2. Total Situational Action(情景教学法)

Part 5 Teaching procedure

Step 1. Lead- in

1. Show students a short video and ask: what’s it about? (Robot).

2. Ask students to retell the text with the least words.

设计目的:播放有关机器人的视频将会在最短的时间内将学生的注意力集中到本单元的主题上---ROBOT. 用最少的语言来复述上一篇的课文内容,将会极大调动学生的创造热情,同时也起到了承上启下的作用。

Step 2. Revision

Show some words and phrases on the screen and ask students to tell their Chinese meanings one by one. Those who can not get the answers correctly will have to give a performance-----to imitate a robot.

设计目的:无法给出单词正确汉语的同学将被要求模仿机器人进行表演。这样的设计一则可以使大部分学生在愉悦的气氛完成复习,而是给有表演天赋的同学提供一个表现的舞台,深化课文主题。

Step 3. Practise

Have students finish Exersise1 and Exercise2 on SB Page13. Both work individually and co-operation are OK.
