Step 1: lead-in

Show pictures of the hottest movies shown recently, and make three sentences with auxiliary verbs:

I have seen the film Beauty and the Beast. It’s fantastic!

Kong is being shown at main cinemas. Do you want to watch it?

Fast & Furious 8 will be shown tonight.I am going to watch it.

Step 2: Get to know auxiliary verbs

What are the auxiliary verbs used for?

1). I have seen the film Beauty and the Beast. It’s fantastic! 完成时态

2). Kong is being shown at main cinemas. Do you want to watch it? 进行时态,被动语态,疑问语气

3). Fast & Furious 8 will be shown tonight. I am going to watch it. 被动语态,将来时态

小结:定义---助动词和其他动词一起构成时态tenses,语气moods和语态voices,不能独立充当谓语动词。

分类

时态助动词: be(am, is, are; was, were); will, shall, would; has, have , had
