Step 2 Exploration

Check answers & Master the skills

Check the homework with students in groups ,then, master the skills and usage of this type of examination question (高考英语“七选五”)：

一、理解并掌握 “七选五”解题思路；

二、理解并掌握 “七选五”解题策略。

“七选五”解题策略：

1. 读懂段意定两头 --- 解答段首段尾题

1）小标题：短小精悍，形式统一，多为名词性短语和祈使句。

2）挖空在段首，常是主题句。

3）挖空在段尾，常是结论句或起承上启下的作用。

2. 细辨关系定中间 --- 解答段中题

1）找词汇线索

看代词 看词汇复现（包括原词、同义、近义和反义复现）

2）找出连接词，定逻辑关系（包括转折对比、解释例证、因果、并列与递进、概况归纳和时间关系）

Step3 Consolidation

Work in groups cooperatively to deal with this type of test question

and finish exercises on the paper, and then check the answers in pairs.
