Some people in favor of build the subway. In one hand, build the subway can help solve traffic problems and people will be convenient. In the other hand, it provides a new means of transportation, that is environmentally friendly.
One coin has two sides. On the other hand, others hold the opposite opinion. From their point of view, the long process of construction is bound to effect people's daily life. What's more, money is too large, and it will take a long time to get the money back.
In my opinion, I support the idea that the subway should be built because not only will the environment be protected but also more space will be saved.
