Teaching Procedure:
Step 1. Brainstorming and Lead- in:
Begin the class by reviewing 4 categories of intellectual property they have learnt in the reading part.
Purpose: to help students review the knowledge they have learnt and introduce the topic of this class.
Showing some pictures of piracy .
Purpose: to arouse the students’ interest to go on study.
Step 2: Fast Reading
Go through the four subtitles of the passage and use one word to summarize the main idea of each part.
Purpose: to make students get the general idea of the information sheet and the structure of this part.
Step 3: Reading Comprehension
Read the information sheet part by part and try to find out the definition, reasons, problems of intellectual property and the solutions to the problem.
Purpose: to help students understand the information sheet better and accumulate some useful expression as well as resources relevant to intellectual property to make preparations for the writing.
Step 4: Writing
Write a short passage about intellectual property.
