学情分析：
上课班级为高三年级八班，这是一个理科普通班。英语学习是不少学生的薄弱点，尤其对于男生。他们的词汇量比较薄弱，不能准确的用英语表达自己，所以帮助他们熟悉并拓展话题词汇是教师的首要任务。通过本堂课，教师希望帮助学生“温故而知新”—以不同的练习方式温习已知，探索未知，达到能知，促成想知。考虑到实际情况，教师在选材上和设题上都是以基础词汇、句式为中心，用问答帮助学生建构文本框架。在提供语料的同时，鼓励学生自己创造性的表达，最后达到写作的目的。这样，基础较好的学生可以创新思维，基础较弱的学生可以模仿提升，因材施教地培养学生思维的逻辑性、批判性和创造性。

Like you, I have been thinking hard about what job I want to do in the future. I read one article that was really useful. It identified some of the different 1
(category) of jobs we can do. The first category was 2 (practice) jobs, such as carpenters, hairdressers, dressmakers and chefs.
My mum thinks I should get a job in one of the caring professions. She thinks I would be a good nurse. I have thought about the qualities one needs to be a nurse. I am quite caring, but I think that I am not 3 (efficiency) or practical. The next category in the article was 4 (analyze) jobs. I would not be any good at those sorts of jobs because I am not good at maths or figures, so I could not be an accountant. You know I cannot sing or dance, so I could not do a job in the 5
(entertain) industry either. Another category included 6 (education) jobs, and my dad has always said that I would be a great teacher. I am 7 (patience) and able to explain things well, and apart from maths, I am quite 8 (knowledge) about most subjects. If I were more like my cousin, I could be an architect. He is full of 9 (imagine) and great at drawing. There were some other categories like public service jobs, which included jobs like police officers and firefighters. My best friend Joanne is thinking about becoming a police officer. She loves all the 10
