Learning ( 15mins)The teaching procedures are made up of 5 parts. They are learning, listening, speaking, practicing and team work.

Part 1 Learning

In this part it is important to activate students’ existing background knowledge.

During the part, I will ask the students to look at the calendar and find the date today, which will guide students to think of more important days, such as the public holiday for Labor Day, Mother’s Day and so on.

Use many familiar and interesting pics to attract ss’ eyes and learn the vocabulary to describe the pic in English, such as “graduation, victory, wedding and Halloween.

After that, guide students to think about the deep meaning of two situations of celebrations: festivals and special occasions. Arouse students' interest and lead student to learn new vocabulary to describe familiar pics.Step 2. Listening

Part 2 Listening

Have students listening to five dialogues and get the answers to the five celebrations. By this part, students will know better about the new vocabulary learned from part 1 and understand the usage of the new words in real situations.
