Learning the definition of Subjunctive Mood , different forms of verbs used in different sentences that are contrary to the present, the past ,the future, and make a poem with partners. In this period, I will take some useful teaching methods to help the students master the structure of Subjunctive Mood., they are:.task-based teaching method, discussion and cooperation.

This is a grammar lesson. Subjunctive Mood plays a very important role in high school English learning. The expression of subjunctive mood in Chinese is different

from English. Consequently, I separate the lesson into 2 parts and lead Ss learn Subjunctive Mood in if-clause. The first part is to learn the definition of Subjunctive

Mood. The second part is Subjunctive Mood in if-clause, they are sentences contrary to the present, sentences contrary to the past, sentences contrary to the future. After learning Subjunctive Mood in if-clause, the students will make their own poems with their partners in class..

▲学生情况分析

Grade 1 Ss are generally bad at Grammar learning. Some students even dislike learning grammar. What’s more, Subjunctive Mood in English is different from it in Chinese, which brings obstacles to students’ grammar learning.therefore, in this class the teacher will use different activities and many exercises to arouse students’ learning interest so that the students will have a better command of Subjunctive Mood in if-clause.

1. Let Ss understand the definition of Subjunctive Mood.

2. Let Ss master the forms of verbs in different sentences that are contrary to the present, contrary to the past and contrary to the future.

(2 min)T: Class begins! Good morning everyone! (Ss greet the teacher as usual .)

T: In this lesson, we will learn Subjunctive in if-clause. First, think a question, what is Subjunctive? Can you give a definition to Subjunctive Mood? OK, let’s enjoy a video first.( Ss watch the video.)

T: Will God give the man another chance?( choose one student to give his/her answer.)

T: Let’s look at more examples.(Choose one students to read the examples loudly.)

T: Can you pour the pacific ocean out?
