How to transfer simple and compound sentences into sentences with participle structure.
Teaching procedures:
Step1 Lead in
Show a passage taken from one of the compositions written by a certain student and ask students what they think of it.
Step2 Presentation
Present to students how to use advanced vocabulary and then ask students to do some exercises.
Present to students how to use passive sentences, compound sentences, inverted sentences as well as participle structure. T gives a few examples of each sentence structure and then students complete a few exercises.
Step3 Practice
Ask students to polish the passage presented previously.
Step4 Homework
Rewrite one of your writings.
Teaching reflection:
这节课是一节写作课,我巧妙地向学生引出如何使用高级词汇，如何把两个简单句用连接词连在一起,使句子变得更加漂亮，如何使用分词结构，提升表达档次。在讲练过程中自然地复习了以前学过的许多词汇、语法知识，使学生对what引导的名词性从句、which引导的非限制性定语从句，so…that句型、倒装句、分词短语、介词短语等有了更加清晰的认识。通过把两个句子合并成一句，到把几个句子变成一段文章，循序渐进，层层深入，让学生很自然地了解了英语作文中什么样的句子才能拿高分，学会了怎样把句子加工，润色，使之更加完美。课堂还做了大量的练习，让学生能够举一反三，记忆深刻。总体来说，这是一节非常务实的写作课，学生们在课堂上积极配合，充分发挥了主观能动作用，通过这节课学生真正能掌握一些好的写作方法。缺点是量偏大，对于难点如分词结构解释分析地不够透彻，由于时间关系，也没能在这方面给学生足够的训练，导致大部分学生未能理解其真正用法。
