Greet to the students .

Lead in: The teacher pretends to be hungry and ask students:Can I eat the food in class?Then lead students to say:Don’t eat in class.

2. Let students talk about the rules in school and try to repeat the rules in English class.

3.Review the rules :Watch and say.

Let students which rules the classmates are breaking and give advice to them.

Eg:What is she doing? What rules is she breaking?What can we say to her?

Purpose: It is so important to review some rules for the students.

Step2 Watch and guess to lead in the new topic.

T:Are you happy about the rules ?When you are unhappy.Who do you like to talk?

Purpose: This procedure can make Ss study with a light heart ,but also provides situations to lead in the topic.

Step 3 Presentation and practice.

Before reading.

Show a picture of Molly.Let students try to guess about her :

“Is Molly happy or unhappy?”

“What is she unhappy about?”

2.While reading.

(1)First,Let students read the passage for the first time and answer the following questions:

“Is Molly happy or unhappy?”

“What is she unhappy about?”

“Who does she like to talk to?”

Second, check the answers.

(2)Let students read the passage for the second time and underline the rules for Molly.

3.After reading.

(1)Task 1.

Ask students to read it again and fill in the blanks.Then check the answers.
