本单元主要由两部分构成，Section A 部分主要学习谈论学校的规章制度,重点掌握使用否定祈使句和情态动词must, have to, can, 和can’t谈论校规及一些公共场所如图书馆的规章制度。Section B部分主要学习使用情态动词谈论家规。本课时的重点是通过阅读进一步巩固家规的表达，并在有烦恼时学会求助。
三、学情分析：
在七年级上册的学习中学生们已经接触过祈使句，在本单元的Section A部分学生们重点学习了用祈使句的否定句和使用must，have to，can， can’t表达校规。在本单元Section B 的第一课时的听力部分，所听到的Dave谈论自己的家规主要使用的是含有must，have to，can，can’t 的句型。所以本节课的阅读内容找出Molly的 家规对于学生来说并不是特别陌生。谈论家规这个话题，比较贴近学生们的生活实际，学生们渴望进一步学习如何用英语如何表达家规，因此它为本课学习垫定了情 感上的基础。此外，在本课的学习中还要让学生了解由于中西方文化的差异，中国的孩子有烦恼时一般会求助于老师、父母、兄弟姐妹或者朋友，而西方的孩子则更 愿意向专业人士或机构求助。
四、教学目标分析：

2). Sentences：
Don’t leave the dirty dishes in the kitchen.
