二、教学过程

Step One:Lead in

1. Greeting

2.Talking about rules at home and school by imitating fathers ,mothers and teachers

T: Do you know Rules ? Can you tell me some.

S1:Don’t eat in class.

S2: Don’t listen to music in class.

S3: Don’t fight.

T:Are there any rules at our school?Tell us some. Imitate your father or mother.Pay attention to facial expression and body language.

S1:You can’t play basketball.You must do your homework first.

S2: Don’t leave the dirty dishes in the kitchen.

T:How do you feel about them? When you are unhappy about something, who do you like to talk to. Good friend? Your father? Your mother? Your cousin? Your teacher?You usually want to talk to your friends.I think you can talk to?Dr.Know. Molly wants to talk to Dr.Know. He?knows everything.

But we must know our parents and our teachers make rules to help us.

设计意图:利用学生耳熟能详的东西,唤起学生的思想共鸣,从压抑到释放,激发学生的倾诉欲望。让学生把所学到的语言知识和生活实际联系起来,训练其语言交际和运用能力。同时因势利导学生正确认识rules,理解父母师长的苦心。

Step Two:Listening

Listen to the tape and answer:

T:Listen to the tape after finishing reading the given questions and then find out the answers to these questions:

1. Why does Molly write to?Dr.Know?

A.She has too much homework.

B.She feels unhappy about the rules, and wants to?know?what to do.

C.She wants to talk about her everyday life.

D.She can't watch TV on weekends.

2.What's Dr.Know's opinion?

A.He feels sorry about Molly.

B.The rules are good for us, so we must follow them.

C.Molly can do anything she likes.

D.He doesn't understand Molly.

通过听读训练,让学生能够对今天课堂上所学知识有敏感的反应,并起到在接下来的阅读环节中及时纠音的效果。
