能读懂一些英语的规则制度,能用英语表达和制定一些简单的规则,理解没有规矩不成方圆;无论是在学校时还是在家庭中以及以后走上社会都应当遵守规则,按规则办事。

1. 教学重点:

1) 继续学习使用目标语言谈论对某些规章制度(校规、家规等)的看法

2) 通过不同方式的练习方式来学会用英语表达一些标志的含义。

3) 运用祈使句来表达一些规章和制度。

2. 教学难点:

1)总结用祈使句、情态动词Don’t/ Do, can’t/ can, must及have to来表达各种规章制度;

2)能用所学的知识来制定一些简单的规章制度。

3)能够用说并写出劝解Molly遵守规则的语句。

三、教学过程

Ⅰ. Warming- up and revision

1. Watch a video about the traffic crash and get to know we must follow the rules.

2. Review the four important words to express rules: Don’t/ Do, must, have to, can’t/can.

Ⅱ. Presentation

Talk about rules they know in certain places.

Ⅲ. Reading

Pre-reading. Talk about family rules with the help of pictures.

While-reading. a.Read Molly’s letter while listen to the tape. Underline the rules in the meanwhile.

b. Try to think about what you would console Molly about her complaint of each rule.

c. Read and answer the questions.

d. Read Dr. Know’s reply together. Find out how Dr. Know consoled Molly. Which sentence do you think is the key to persuade her?

After-reading. a.Free talk. Discuss in groups of four: If you are Molly, what would you say to Molly?

b.Emotional education.

c.Write a letter to Molly to console and persuade her to follow the rules.

Ⅳ. Review

Review the phrases of this lesson.

Ⅴ. Homework

Write a letter to Dr Know about rules in your house. (You must do.)
