The content of the class are as follows:
1.It can be used as pronoun :
(1). 代替前面提到的人或物；
e.g. I cannot find my watch. I must have lost it.
(2).代替指示代词this/that.
e.g. – Is this jacket yours?
-- Yes, it is.
(3). 用来指动物，婴儿和身份未确定的人。
The new baby is light. It weighs only 3 kilos.
Attention: the difference of it, that and one.
it用来指代前面提到的可数名词，所指的是事物本身；即“同一物”.
one则用来替代前面出现过的可数名词，泛指，指一类事物中的一个 .即“同类不同物”(复数用ones).
that用来代替不可数名词或单数可数名词，特指。表示“同类不同物”.
e.g. a. I can’t find my pen. I’m going to buy one.b. Life today is better than that in the old days.c. I can’t find my pen. I must have lost it.
2. It can be used as the inpersonal pronoun to talk about weather, distance, time , climate, circumstance, temperature and so on.
e.g. a. It is Friday today. (date)b. It was very cold last Monday. ( weather)c. It is about 8:30 now. ( time)
d. It is about 25km from Longxian to Bazi. (distance)e. It lies in the south of Shaoguan city. (place)
f. It is 40°C ! You got a high fever! (temperature)
3. It can be used as formal subject.
（1）It is+ adj.+（for sb.）to do sth.
此处adj. 通常为描述事件的形容词：easy; hard; difficult; necessary; likely; impossible; important; useful; dangerous…
e.g. It is important for a teenager to learn English well.
（2）It is + adj. + （of sb.） to do sth. 此处adj. 通常为描述人的形容词：kind; rude; silly， careful; careless; foolish; stupid; clever; wise... e.g. It's kind of you to help me with the problem.
(3). It's no good/use doing…
