Teaching difficulties:

to express themselves clearly about one issue.

to write an article with an organized pattern, as fewer mistakes as possible.

Teaching aids:

Blackboard.

Powerpoint.

Teaching procedure:

Lead-in:

Ask the students some questions about cloning, which are not only from the textbooks. In this period, students can review some basic information about the Reading, meanwhile, extend their knowledge of cloning.

Reading:

Show an article with some information missing. Let them preview the whole passage in 1 minute, and fill in the blanks altogether while reading. This activity is an transition to the next period.

3. Discussion:

Ask the students to discuss the topic in groups. There must be one reporter in each group, which consists of 4 or 5 students. Later, the teacher and the students will share the reasons altogether.

Listening

While watching the two videos, the students write down the useful expressions including phrases and sentence patterns as many as they can. Then the teacher will guide them to finish the task.

4.Writing:

After the previous part, the students know the general structure of the article as well as some sentence patterns and useful expressions.

Ask two of the students to write their compositions on the blackboard. The teacher will correct them together with the students.

5. Assignments:

(1). Read the writing of your deskmate. Find out the mistakes then correct them if any.

(2). Find more information online to further prove your idea.
