Teaching procedures

Step1 . Showing the learning objectives

To arouse students’ curiosity and get them prepared for the lesson, students will be asked to read the learning objectives on the whiteboard to make sure what they are expected to do in this class.

Step 2 pre - writing

In order to get students more involved in the class, they will be asked to discuss the following question in groups.

What information should be given in an application & how many parts should be included in an application?

After that, students will be asked to show their opinions. And I will make the following conclusion:

求职信的结构:

第一段:说明是从何处获得信息的,并提出申请;

第二段:写明自己的学历,能力及经验;

第三段:表明自己想得到这份工作的迫切愿望。

Then, students will be asked to work in groups to do the following job

What sentences can we used in each part?

While discussing, students will be asked to write as many sentences which are often used in an application as they can.

Ten minutes later, some students will be asked to share their sentences.
