Step one: Greeting

Greet the whole class so that they can get ready for the class.

Step two: Pre-writing- Lead in

Watch a video clip and ask students to find out Caio’s problem and figure out some suggestions.

设计目的:通过让他们观看同龄巴西人Caio 向他们求助的视频,把学生的注意力转移到课堂学习中来。通过问题设置,引入写作相关话题。虽然学习对象是高二实验班的学生,但考虑到他们的英语水平比较差,因此只设置简单的问题,目的是能让每个学生都能参与其中,同时也为下一步的阅读做铺垫。

A letter of advice

Dear Caio,

I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble learning Chinese. However, the problem is easy to solve if you can take my advice. Here are some of my personal suggestions.

  Firstly, why not take a Chinese course? If you do so , you will be able to learn from the teacher and practice with your fellow students. Secondly , it would be a good idea if you watch TV and read books, newspapers and magazines in Chinese. Thirdly, it also helps to learn and sing Chinese songs. In this way, you’ll learn and remember Chinese words more easily. Last but not least, if I were you, I would make more Chinese friends who will tell you a lot about China and help you learn Chinese.
