设计目的:用图片展示,把学生的注意力转移到课堂学习中来,调动学生愉快的学习情绪。通过问题和选项的设置,引入写作相关话题。虽然学习对象是高三学生,但考虑到他们的英语水平很差差,因此只设置简单的问题,目的是能让每个学生都能参与其中,同时也为下一步的写作做铺垫。

Step 2: Introduction

Introduce what a letter of giving advice is mainly about and what should be paid attention during writing.

设计目的:意图很简单,就是让学生对建议性有一个整体的认识,使得学生明白通过下面的训练来如何写作。由于学生的水平有限,所以有必要告诉学生这些。

Step3: Discussing in groups:

Supposing the writer asks you to give her some advice on how to improve her English, please discuss in groups of six to her. At least give her three pieces of advice:

Advice 1. ...

Advice 2. ...

Advice 3. ...

设计目的:讨论是信息输入的重要手段之一,采用讨论方式,培养学生良好的学习习惯和快速捕获信息的能力,为接下去的写作整理出有利的信息。

Step 4: Writing

Divide the students into groups of six. Give them 5 minutes to write a letter, but before writing, let students know the following information:

Para 1. Purpose of the letter

建议信开头常用句式 (照应材料,表明写作意图)

1.After I read your letter, I am sorry to know that you are not good at …

2.I am very glad to hear that you want to…

3.I know you have trouble in…after reading your letter

4.I am writing to you for the purpose of -----

5 I am writing to share some advice with you.

6 In my personal opinion, it would be wise of you to take the following action.

在下认为, 如果你能采取以下措施,将是一种明智的选择。

Para 2. Giving advice

建议信第二段常用句式,给出建议,井然有序。
