Teaching important and difficult points:

Master the new words and target language.

Learn to describe a process and follow instruction.

Train students” listening skill and cooperative skill.

Teaching aids:

Multimedia,computer,ingredients of making sandwiches.

Teaching procedures:

(Before teaching:four students in a group,ask students to answer questions in class. According to the students answers, teacher will give them stars. Then count the stars in each group. According to the number of stars in each group,they can get different ingredients for making sandwiches.)

Step1.Presentation

Teach the new words.

Students guess “What’s in teacher’s shopping bag?” in order to lead to new words.

Show the new words under each picture and teach them. Ask students to repeat them. Make sure everyone know the meanings.

Group competition:write food names in groups. The more, the better.

(设计意图:以教师的兴趣爱好为背景,激发学生兴趣,激活学生的英语思维,复习表示具体食物的单词,为新课学习搭梯,拉近师生距离,进行情感铺垫。)

Teach Activity 1a.

Show some pictures of the sandwich ingredients. Make sure everyone know the sandwich ingredients.

What do you like in your sandwich? In my sandwich, I like...

Later,invite some students to describe their sandwiches.

(设计意图:展示图片让学生更直观地掌握了新单词和制作三明治所需要的材料。)

Teach activity 1b.

Show some pictures of the food. Ask students “Do you like ...in your sandwich?”

Later, invite some pairs to present their conversations to the class.

(设计意图:学生对食物名称和“Do you like...in your sandwich?”句型掌握情况的反馈。)

Teach Activity 1c.

Point to the food in 1a. Students listen and circle the words they hear.

Then check the answers together.

(设计意图:用过听力进一步巩固表示食物名称的单词。)

Teach Activity 1d.

How to make a tomato sandwich? Show the process of making sandwich, students fill the words.

Show the process of a banana sandwich.
