Step1. Lead-in.

T: Hello,everyone! Could you answer me two questions? How many days are there in a week?

What are they?

Step2.Pre - listening

1.1a. Write the dates for this week on the calendar.

T:Which day is the first day of a week?And what day is it today?What’s the date today?

Then ask students to write the dates in the calendar, and check the answers.

2.1b Write the words below the correct dates on the calendar.

T: Look at the words in the box in 1b.Please follow me. Next write the words on the calendar.

3.1c Ask and answer questions about the days in 1a.

T asks Ss to practice in pairs by using the target sentence patterns .

-What’s today﹨tomorrow﹨the day after tomorrow?

-It’s Wednesday13th./…

-What was yesterday? ﹨the day before yesterday?

-It was Tuesday 12th./…

Step 3 While-listening

T: Different people like to invite their friends to do .different things. Andy would like to invite Vince to play tennis with him. What’s Vince’s reply? Can you predict?
