定语从句是英语语法教学中较难的一项,而在英语语言使用中又极为普遍。我所教的班级学生在初一和初二时英语底子较薄,英语的基础比较差。针对这一现状,我在定语从句的复习中,加大了练习量,让绝大多数学生都参与到其中。并以中考题型的方式呈现练习题,让学生领悟到在中考中定于从句的应用。

六、教学过程
Step1: Review the relative pronouns.
that 人或物 主语或宾语
which 物 主语或宾语
who 人 主语或宾语
whom 人 主语或宾语
whose 人或物 定语
Step2: Review the points of the relatives.
1/.指代先行词;
2/.它还在定语从句中担任一定的成分;
3/. 同时连接先行词与它引导的定语从句。
Step3: Review the tense of the attributive clause.
1/. 定语从句的谓语动词单复数和先行词一致。
2/. 定语从句的时态不受主句的限制。
The boy who/that lives next door has two lovely dogs.
(从句)The boy (who/that) lives next door.
(句中先行词The boy 是“单三”,从句又是一般现在时,所以从句谓语动词用lives)
The woman who spoke at the meeting yesterday is my mother.
(从句)(who/that) spoke at the meeting yesterday.(句中yesterday表示过去时间)
