(10’’)Tasks:
Watch a video about Yao Ming
Answer the questions:
who is he?
How does he do the job?
Show the students some photos of other sports stars
Ask the following questions:
Do you know them?
Who is she/he? ?
What does she/he do? First, students are asked to watch a video about a sports star carefully and be ready to answer the questions. Next, look at some pictures of sports stars in order to go on answering the questions.Designing purposeA video is attractive and situational , it’s close to the theme and easy for students to get more information. Listening
Tasks:
Listen and fill in the “What does she/he do?” and “When was he/she born? columns in the chart
Listen again and fill in the “How does she/he do the job?” column in the chart.They are supposed to listen carefully and get some important information from it and fill in the chart.
