Step1: Warm up Watch a video What time is it?

First let’s watch the video and do the action with the young man, OK? Ready, go!

Step2: Lead in

T: Now please look at this picture. Guess “What’s this?” “Is it

a bear?”

Ss: No. It’s a clock.

T: Yes. A clock can tell us time. Can you tell me the time? Is it seven o’clock? Is it seven thirty?

T: Then what time is it?

Step3: Presentation

1. New words: fifty breakfast Monday

Now look at this word card: breakfast Please read after me… Do you have breakfast every morning? Yes, we have breakfast every morning.

Next look at the word: Monday Now follow me…We know Monday is the first day we go to school in a week. Is it Monday today? No. What day is it today? Today is Friday.

Next we learn the word: fifty Please read after me…How many pupils are there in your class? There are 54.

What time is it?

It’s three forty(3:40) /four thirty(4:30) /two fifty(2:50).
