III. Teaching procedure

Step1. Greetings

Get close to the class by greeting with each other at the beginning.

Step2.Lead in

1. Present some pictures of the famous people. Invite the student to describe and talk about them.

3. Lead the class to raise their questions about the girls.

Step3. Skimming

1. Present questions.

Step4. New words

1. Ask the students to circle the new words they meet while reading.

2. Ask some students to present their ways of how to guess the meaning of the new words.

3. Lead the student to guess the meaning of the words.

Step 5.Group reading

1. Work in groups.

2. Read the part they choose and finfish the relevant reading tasks.

3. Share the information they get while reading with the group members.

4. Put the flashcards under the relevant pictures.

5. Introduce the girls.

Step 6.Listen and read

1. Look at the text on the PPT. Listen to the tape. The teacher point at the words while they listening.

2. Look at the book and listen to the tape again. The students point at the words while they listening.
