Game

Learn the changing rules of present participle1. Read the text: Listen and say.

2. Let’s sing. Make up a song from the text, as follows:

What’s she doing? What’s she doing? She is writing. She is writing.

What’s he doing? What’s he doing? He is playing. He is playing.

What’s she doing? What’s she doing? She is washing. She is washing.

What’s he doing? What’s he doing? He is cooking. He is cooking.

3. Ask and answer. Where is Mum? She is … What’s she doing? She is …

Ask the same questions about Ben, Kitty, and Mr Li.

4. Show two sentences “Kitty is doing her homework.” “She is in the living room.” Show how to make up a long sentence from the former two sentences.

Try to make up three sentences in the same form as exercise.

5. Play a game. Let the students choose two of them as sb. In the same way, let them choose two things and two places. Make up two interesting sentences in the present continuous tense.

6. Read and spell. Show the question: What is Kitty doing now? (She is doing her homework.) Show some verbs and their present participle forms like “do -doing”.

Let the students think out the changing way of doing.

The same way to teach: make-making, sit-sitting.复习课文。
