Teaching Tools: The cards, PPT and the computer.

Processes:

Step 1 Warm up and lead in

1. Greet with each other..

2. Sing a song: 《I was fat.》

3. Do Activity 1: Look, listen and say.

(1) Watch and say.

Show the pictures of Activity 1 on the screen. Ask the students to watch the CD-ROM to find “What animals are there in the pictures?” and “What’s the relationship between them?”.

(2) Repeat the text and answer.

Ask the students to watch and repeat the text sentence by sentence and then answer “How is a frog different from a tadpole?”

T: How is a frog different from a baby frog?

S: It didn’t have any legs then.

T: Correct! How about now?

S: It has got strong legs.

T: Yes, Now it can jump really far because it has got strong legs. But it didn’t have any legs then.

(3) Introduce the other animals.

T: Look, they are caterpillars. They will change into butterflies as they grow. And they will change into ladybird. They are changing.

Let the students learn more about the other animals’ changes like frogs.

(4) Read in roles.

T:Now let’s read together. Girls are Amy. Boys are Tom.

Step 2 Task presentation

1. Review the text.

Show the mind map of Module 1 Unit 1 on the screen, and then ask the students to recite the text to review.

2. Task

T: Our life is changing, too. Today let’s learn Module 1 Unit 2 She didn’t have a television. After learning we should go on descrbing the changes in our life. And then let’s describe the changes of our school.

Step 3 Text learning

1. Listen and answer.
