Students of Grade Four are still interested in learning English. They are active in class and eager to express their opinions. In lesson 1 and lesson 2, they have learned how to choose the goods they need and express the emotion of the goods. In this lesson, they will learn how to ask the price and make a choose.

IV. Teaching goals:

1. Knowledge goal:

hundred, fit, trousers, fifty. How much is this shirt? It’s one hundred yuan. How much are they? They are fifty-eight yuan.

2. Ability goal:

Students can ask and say the price. Using the sentence structures for shopping.

3. Emotion goal:

Advise students to shop with a rational attitude.

1.Words: how much, trousers, fit, hundred, fifty

Sentences: How much is this shirt? It’s one hundred yuan. How much are they? They’re fifty-eight yuan.

2. Use the sentences and the words to ask and say the price.

III. Teaching procedures:

Step 1 Warming up

Demonstration: Students sing a song and talk about the pictures to get down into learning English.

1. Sing a song: How much is that doggy?

2. Leading in:

Answer the question: What do they buy? How about the toy car and the toy bus?

【Purpose】 Make students relax and arouse their knowledge: How to describe the goods?. Strengthen their interest in studying English

Step 2 Presentation

Demonstration: In this part, let the pupils watch the cartoon and answer the questions to understand the dialogue.

1) Watch and answer: What will they buy?

Learn new word: trousers

【Purpose】 Make students find out the simple spelling rules so that they can read and write the words more effectively with the learning strategies.

2) Watch and seek: Why does Li Ming like this shirt and the trousers?

3) Li Ming likes the new clothes. Then want to buy them. Now they want to know the price.
