Step 3 New Lesson
Do you like pizza?(Yes, we do.)Em…It’s yummy. Now look at my pizza, it’s round?.I want to eat it ,but it’s so big. Look at me carefully .I?want to put?the pizza?apart.(教师将披萨饼分成两半)Now look at the pizza, read after me” half, half”. Oh ,it’s so big for me. I’m going to split it in half. Look, it’s one fourth of a pizza. We can say one fourth means quarter. (然后，教师再撕一半，剩下披萨饼的四分之一)
1.Teach?“a quarter”
(1)Look at the pizza in my hand and read after me?“quarter ,quarter…”
(2)Look at the screen .There’s a imperfect clock. I will fill in the missing part .Then I’ll say?“a quarter，a quarter”
(A?quarter?=15 minutes)
(3)Read after me again and?again.
(4)Look at the screen, who can tell me the time? What time is it?(Someone will say “eleven forty-five.”)---It’s a quarter to twelve.
(5)Let Ss say “a quarter ,a quarter”. Then practice it.(Look at the screen and say)
T: I am very glad to hear your sweet voice. But your volume is too low. I can’t hear you.（教师打开录音机） And I can’t hear the recorder ,can you?(No.)Let’s turn up the volume.(教师将录音机声音调大)
2.Teach?“Turn up the volume.”
(1)Clap our hands and say?“Turn up ,turn up ,turn up?the volume”?again and again.
(2)Say it by themselves three times, then one by one.
(3)Call out some students to say?“Turn up the volume.”
(教师将录音机的音量调的越来越大)
