鲁教五四制版六年级上册《Unit 3 What color is it? Section A 3a-3d》名师精品教案教学设计

The selected teaching material is taken from Section A of Unit 3 in Book 6A. The content is about colors, which is intended to develop the theme of the unit, that is,?identify colors. After analyzing it carefully, I find the material has two unique characteristics. First, it includes all the colors , most of the important words and the main conversation in this unit. Second, the content is familiar to the students, so I can put something else in this lesson.

Section 2 Identifying the teaching aims

Based on the analysis of the teaching material, I have chosen the following as the teaching aims of my lesson:

The 1st?aim: Students learn the skills and strategies to discuss things about colors.

The 2nd?aim: Students get a better understanding of the use of the colors.

The 3rd?aim: To enable the students to be able to classify similar things.

The 4th?aim: To cultivate students' divergent thinking ability.

The 5th?aim: Students learn to use a table to gather the main facts

The 6th?aim: To guide the students to understand the world better and

love peace.

The 7th?aim: To get the students to obey the traffic rules and to know how important they are.

The 8th?aim: To educate the students to be an honest man.

Section 3 Teaching procedures

In order to achieve the teaching aims mentioned above, I decide to choose Communicative teaching and Task-Based Teaching as the main teaching approach. With the teaching methods, I can guide students to use effective learning strategies to comprehend the content, solve problems and complete different tasks. The teaching procedures include five parts. They’re making choices, focusing on main conversation, colors of continents, traffic rules, and making a conversation.

Part 1. making choices

At the very beginning of a class, it’s important to activate students’ existing background knowledge and draw their attention to the topic of the text. In this part, I will get the students to make choices to increase students’ concentration, arouse their passion in learning this lesson.

Task: Students pick out a word or a gift among the four ones.

?(With the task, I inspire students’ former knowledge and happiness ( because of getting a gift), which can draw their attention to the theme of the learning material and get them ready for the following steps. More important, this can enable the students to learn to classify similar things in their daily lives. )

Part 2. Focusing on main conversation

During the part, I will ask the students to answer the question—What’s this/that in English? How do you spell it? What color is it? Students are supposed to answer the questions and review the words and practice speaking colors. Questions of this kind are not difficult and they can be answered easily by almost every student. The part includes six tasks:
