2) know how they invite others by using“Hello. This is … May I speak to …,please?...”..

3) describe how they prepare for a party.

By the end of the class, the students are expected to be able to:

1) encourage Ss to share their happy moments with people around them

2)have a better sense of loving school.

3)be more active in cooperating in pairs and groups.

Learn and practise To enable the students to get familiar with the new sentences 2. Have the students learn the new sentence pattern “Hello. This is … May I speak to …,please?...”. Practise the pattern by doing pair work. To enable the students to know how they invite others by using the pattern 3. Have the students listen to the audio, look at the pictures and tell us how Kitty is preparing for Ben’s birthday party. Listen ,complete

and answer. To guide the students to find out some specific information on how Kitty is planning a party by listening 4. Have the students listen to the recording and read after it. Listen and read . To help the students form a habit of imitating the pronunciation and intonation 5.Have the students act as Kitty /Peter / Jill and tell us how to prepare for a party Act out To help the students have the ability of planning a party
