The part is Unit 2 I’m Wang Lingling and I’m thirteen years old., which focuses on a passage about self-introduction. There are four people in the passage, Li Daming, Wang Lingling, Wang Hui and Tony Smith. The name cards can help us understand the personal information quickly and make us introduce ourselves easily. Analysis of the target students: Students of Grade 7 are active in thoughts, and they can express their ideas about their personal information. But they lack some reading strategies and use different pronouns to introduce. This topic is closely related to their life and can easily arouse their interest. Teaching purposes: By the end of the class, the students will be able to:

For Linguistic Competence: (1). perceive and use the key vocabulary (capital, small, big, city, very, first name, last name) and grammar (present simple be &pronouns).

(2). express ideas about how to introduce ourselves to others.

For Learning Ability: use reading strategies to get the specific information.

For Cultural Character: communicate with others well through self-introduction.
