一、Teaching Aims:

1. Knowledge aims:

① 四会单词: day, today, swim, draw ② 三会单词:Sunday, Monday, on Sunday ③ 句子:.What day is it(today)? It’s……

2. Ability aims:

By the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:

①.Get to know the meaning of “What day is it today?” both in spoken and written forms, and pronounce it clearly.

②.Use the words “swim,Sunday,Monday” both in speaking ,listening,and reading.

③.Use structures like “What day is it today ? It’s ……..” “We swim on Sundays.”to talk about the days of week in English.

3. Focus of the lesson:

①.Read the structures with the right pronunciation, intonation and sentence stress. “What day is it today? It’s ……..” “We swim on Sundays.”

4.Predicted area of difficulty:

①.Students can ask and answer “What day is it today? It’s ...”

②. The pronunciation of “Monday, Sunday” and “day, today”.

③. Students can use structures like” We swim/draw on Sundays.”
