The lesson is designed as a speaking lesson. According to the new curriculum standards of English, Ss are expected to achieve the skills of a. know the meaning of the sentences, b. talk about the weather, c. talk about ‘what do they want to do?’ , d. talk about their ideas, e. listen and get the right answer, f, say the chant Analysis of the students This class is in grade 2, they are active and curious, interested in new things. Therefore I should design many activities to arise the Ss’ interesting. Furthermore, after learning English for 1 year, they have a little basic English background knowledge, so as the teacher I should attach importance to the communication with them, and provide the chance of using language.
