教学重点及难点。教学的重点是学习新词汇 salt,fresh,only,important,percent,waste,save。和句型...need water to...;能够借助图和文本理解课文中咸水和淡水的区别,理解水很重要,我们要节约水;教学难点是对文本的理解并会用语言描述water。

二、教学准备

文本中图片;咸淡水分布图;制作的单词卡片;录音;视频;教师自制PPT教学课件。

教学过程

Preparation.

Greeting

Listen and Guess the riddle.

(3) Ask question: Where does water come from? Students talk about the pictures and let them know that water is everywhere. Water is recycle.

Presentation.

Read and Ask: Let students read para.1 silently and try to ask some questions using the “Wh-question” words on ppt.

Ask and Answer: Teacher shows her questions. They are

How many kinds of water are there on the Earth? What are they? What is salt water? What is fresh water? How much are they?

Practice.

Let’s do it. Let students write down the answers as follows on the map of water in the book:

Step 1: Mark salt water and fresh water.

Step 2: Write down how much they are.

Step 3: Write down where they are from.

(2)Let’s check. Teacher checks the answer and ask a question: Is there much fresh water on the Earth?

(3)Let’s enjoy. Students enjoy some pictures with music that we can only use fresh water, but there is not much fresh water on the Earth.
