Teaching Procedures:
Step 1 Warm-up
Greetings.
Sing the song “ School days.”
Step 2 Preview
Talk about the lines of the song with Ss. Then lead in the place” cinema” from the place,”school”. Learn the word by the picture.
Lead in the word” film” and learn it through the question, What can we do in the cinema? Then I say “I love the film.” and ask Ss” Do you love the film?” Ss answer.
Step 3 Presentation
Tell Ss that Zip and Zoom love the film, too. Let’s have a look. Show the first picture. Talk about the picture with Ss. Help Ss recall the word” gorilla”. Then conduct Ss to describe the gorilla.
Play the tape. Ss listen and try to say what they’ve heard. Then play the tape again. Ss look, listen and read after.
Ss in pairs read the dialogue. Then ask some pairs to read the dialogue.
Learn other dialogues in the similar ways and learn the new words when we meet them.
