2、Ability Objects:

1) Be able to master some names of illnesses and phrases.

2) Be able to use “What’s wrong with …? = What’s the matter with …?I have…/ She/ He has…” to talk about healthy problems.

3) Be able to use should/ shouldn’t to give advice.

3、Moral Object: To care about your parents’ or friends’ health..

Ⅱ Teaching Procedures:

Step1 Lead-in

Greeting as usual.

Enjoy the song of brush your teeth.

Show the title and read it.

Step 2 Presentation

Guide the students to learn the new words and phrases by showing some pictures of illnesses.

Read the new words together one by one.

Listen to 1C and then check the answers.

learn the sentences.

“What’s wrong with …? = What’s the matter with …?

I have…/ She/ He has…”

3、Group Work. Ask and answer by using some cards about illnesses.

Step3 Consolidation

Listen to 1a and answer the following questions:

What’s wrong with Kangkang ?

What should he do?

Listen to 1a again and choose the correct answers.

Look, listen and say. Ask students to practice with their partner.

Ask several pairs to act 1a out.

Step 4 Practice

Guide Ss to practice these sentences, using some pictures in 1C.

For example: “What’s wrong with …? = What’s the matter with …?

I have…/ She/ He has…”
