引导学生学会用英语描述自己以前和现在生活的不同，激发学生了解历史的兴趣。
教学准备:

Step 1 Free talks (复习past-tense)
Stetp2 :Review and presentation
1 用游戏的形式复文中会出现的词组ie: write letters, listen to music……，在复习的过程中，穿插一些新授的内容，newspaper ,radio, newspaper, e-book 等。
2.Watch story time
T: Watch the cartoon and find the changes in the Browns’ live.
T: How many people are there in the passage? What are they?
Watch the cartoon and find out what are the differences in their lives between then and now.
Watch the cartoon again.
3.把课文分成4段，分别来教授
T：Listen to the passage and fill in the blanks
（关于Mike的，先听在填空，最后让学生通读一遍）
T: Listen and answer the questions about Mr Brown’s life.
回答第一个问题的时候，教授write的过去式wrote, use 的使用方法，教授词组use sth. to do sth.
回答第二个问题的时候，教授mobile phone, 同时告诉学生还有cell phone ,还要现在的智能手机smart phone 。同时我们现在随时和别人保持联系anywhere， anytime，我们可以通过applications ：qq ， wechat，sina……
通读Mr Brown 部分的课文，并提提醒学生write letter to sb.
用T和F的方式引出Mike’s grandfather的生活变化。在T和F的问题中，教授 read newspaper for new, for 的含义。e-book 的两个内容的含义。
在回答问的时候，出示答案，并教授read的过去式，read，拼写相同，但是读音不同。
同读grandfather的课文
用选择题的方式，引出Mrs Brown的生活变化，在问题中，就把make 的过去式made, buy 的过去式bought , 和all over the world 教授给学生。读完课文，让学生做选择题，告诉学生课文中有两个from可以怎么来解释，一个是buy things from shops, e-friends form all over the workd,以及为什么要用does shopping。
Read the whole passage in the way you like.
4.出示书P38 Write and say
T: Let talk about the differences. If you can’t answer it ,you can look at your books.
说一下then and now 生活的区别
根据提示，复述课文的内容，加强记忆力
每完成一部分，就让同学们齐读。
