Step 2 Fun time
1．Talk about the picture.
T: What are they talking about?
S: They are talking about the king’s new clothes.
2．Ask students to complete the sentences on the book .
3．Ask some groups to act the dialogues.
Step 3 Grammar time
1. 课件上呈现书中第9页的句子，把其中的过去式重点读一读，理解并掌握一般过去时的语法规则。
2. 说一说下列动词的过去式，讨论动词过去式变化规则。
3. 总结动词过去式变化规则。
补充说明：
4）辅音字母+y结尾，改y为i +ed如：study - studied
5）重读闭音节双写末尾字母+ed
如：stop-stopped
4.注意过去式的读音：清辅音后面读/ t / ，浊辅音和元音后面读/ d / ，/ t /或/ d / 后面的读/ id /
5.Read and write.
请个别学生复述课文（讲故事）
(Long, long ago, there was… He liked…One day, two men visited…The two men showed…The king walked…A little boy pointed…)
1）同桌讨论课本图片，完成句中省略部分所缺内容。
2）Check answers.
3）Read the dialogue together.
4）Say and act in pairs.
讨论动词过去式变化规则：
1）一般在动词末尾加-ed，如：look - looked
2）结尾是e加d，如：like - liked
3) 不规则变化，如：am, is – was are – were
