教学过程：

Pre-reading

Brain-storming: Ss say the countries they know.

Game: Ss say the country names quickly according to the pictures of animals, flags, places of different countries。

（设计意图：通过以上两个活动，激活学生关于国家及其相关内容的旧知，帮助学生快速进入本课主题。）

While-reading

Part 1: the first paragraph

(设计意图：通过人物引入，以听力训练的方式，帮助学生明确学习的主题：澳大利亚。)

Know the four characters of the story: Mike, Liu Tao, Wang Bing and Yang Ling.

Listen and read: Listen to paragraph1, and find out: Which country are the children talking about?

Part 2: the dialogue

(设计意图：通过How will the children find out about Australia?的问题引领，帮助学生理清文本思路。探讨问题答案的过程中，借助文中图片，获取更多澳大利亚的信息，如：中国和澳大利亚季节相反。同时，通过学习文中四位主人公的问题解决方法，学生内化为自己的方法并想出新的方法，提升学生解决问题的能力。 )

1. Read and answer: Read the dialogue on P58, and answer: How will the children find out about Australia?

2. Look and learn: Look at the pictures on P58, and help Ss to find out more information about Australia.

3.Think and talk: By learning the four ways used by Mike, Liu Tao, Wang Bing and

Yang Ling, Ss think about their ways of getting information. Then talk in pairs.
