1. Susan: Mom, you’ve been a volunteer, haven’t you? I think I want to volunteer somewhere too. I’m old enough to do it, don’t you think?

2. Susan’s mother: Sure you are, Susan. It’s a great idea. I used to be a volunteer in our hometown in America for many years. I have also done this in other countries, too.

3. Susan: Which other countries have you been a volunteer in?

4. Susan’s mother: Well, I have been a volunteer in several countries in Africa. Because we live in China now, I also do volunteer work here. Since last year, I have helped at both the local hospital and an elementary school.
