Teaching preparation：
1．准备本课的学生卡片、教师卡片和录音磁带。
2．教师和学生准备有关北京名胜古迹的图片或录像带。
Teaching process：
1．热身 / 复习（Warming-up / Revision）
1）Play a game猜猜看:
播放音乐，随着优美的音乐，教师把前几课涉及的景点图片反着贴在黑板上，吸引学生的兴趣。音乐一结束，教师就告诉学生，这些图片都是我们想去参观的地方，猜猜看，猜中者就把图片送给他。教师提示有关信息：
T: It’s in Zhejiang province in the east of China. The famous place there is the West Lake.
S1: I know! It’s Hangzhou.
T: You’re clever! Here you are. The picture is yours.
然后让一个学生到前来翻看图片，进行描述，继续游戏。
2、新课导入（Presentation）
1）教师把提前准备好的有关北京名胜古迹的图片展示给学生，通过对这些景点的讨论和介绍，引出本课生词、词组及句子：the Great Wall, the Ming Tombs, the Temple of Heaven, visit the Summer Palace, visit the Forbidden City, watch Peking Opera; We’re going to visit the Great Wall this morning. When are we going to visit the Summer Palace?
2）教师引导学生讨论黑板上的图片，主要谈一谈打算去什么地方。此环节使学生在实际语言运用中巩固新的教学内容。
S1: I’m going to visit the Forbidden City.
S2: I’m going to visit the Great Wall.
S3: I’m going to visit the Summer Palace.
S4: I’m going to visit the Temple of Heaven.
3）教师拿出准备好的小图片，告诉学生这是Tom送给他们的礼物，学生可以告诉大家自己打算去什么地方参观，并挑选自己喜爱的图片。例如: I’m going to visit the Great Wall.
I like the picture of the Great Wall.
教师示范后把图片分给小组，由组长分发，并继续语言活动。
S1: I’m going to visit the Summer Palace. I like the picture of the Summer Palace.
S2: I’m going to visit the Temple of Heaven. I like the picture of the Temple of Heaven.……
4）教师邀请俩位书写能力不同的学生在黑板上板书Just write 部分的单词和语句，分别给予评价。并在黑板上板书，边写边领读，写完后让学生齐读，拼读，然后让学生试着不看黑板进行拼读。
3、趣味操练（Practice）
1）号召学生为自己制定一个参观计划，首先，自己思考一下去什么地方，什么时候去，怎样去，考虑好后，写出来。
例如: I’m going to visit the Great Wall this Saturday morning. I’ll go there by bus.
