2.Instructional Analysis

1.Analysis of the Teaching Material

This unit aims to improve students' ability to describe seasons and activities through the use of stories and dialogues that focus on developing their vocabulary. It's designed to help students get to know the seasons very well. The content of Lesson 33 is about autumn.

2.Analysis of the students

The students have a good knowledge of English. They have mastered certain vocabularies.They can talk about seasons simply, but they can't describe it in order that includes weather, temperature and people's activities. They can't describe it correctly and completely. They are interested in different kinds of activities in class like games and competitions.

3.Teaching Important and Difficult Points .

Teaching Important Points:1.Master the words and phrases:

★ pick, clap, temperature, happy& happily

★ It's a great season for (doing) sth. / It's a great season to do sth.

2.Talk about the four seasons, describe one of your favourites and enjoy its beauty.

Teaching Difficult Point: Be able to use Exclamatory Sentences correctly.

4.1 Teaching Procedures

4.1.1教学活动 .

活动1【导入】Step1. Lead in .

1.Greetings.

2.Ask and answer . (oral English practice)

3.Present a group of pictures about the title of lesson 33;show the teaching goals teaching importance and difficulties.

活动2【讲授】Step 2. Presentation .

1.Do some exercises to check their preview’s homework .

2. Learn the new words

1) Play a word guessing game to check preview.Give the first letters of the new words and let the students guess what the words are according to the teacher's detailed explanations.

2) Present the new words to the students and use the words to make sentences . And also do some exercises of the them .

2. Listen and answer the questions

1) Listen to the tape and underline the answers in the text.

2) Have a competition.

3. Read for knowledge.

1) Read extensively, find out the key phrases in the text by themselves and share them with each other.

2) Read Paragraph Two and Three intensively. Fill in the chart according to the main factors like weather, clothes and activities, then give a report of autumn as Kim.
