IV. Teaching Procedures
Step1: New Words
Teach students the new words and make students read after the teacher. Give students several minutes to remember the words.
Step2: Lead in
Show students two pictures of two celebrities (Laozi and Socrates) and their famous sayings about knowing yourself. It shows the importance of knowing yourself.
Then teacher ask the question “Do you know yourself?”
Step3: Presentation
If you want to know yourself. You need to know your habits.
First, teacher shows some pictures of habits to make students learn about some habits.
Second, teacher shows some habits on the PPT to make students tell them good or not. On the PPT, teacher marks the important expressions to make students pay attention.
Step3: Practice and Show
Teacher asks students to make a list of their good and bad habits.
Then teacher encourages them to introduce their habits in front of the class.
When finishing showing, students stick their note on the blackboard.
Step4: A Guessing Game
Play a guessing game. Show some pictures of students in class. One guess and the other students describe some habits.
Step5: Summary
Everyone has many habits. Some of them are bad, some are good. What should we do? Here are some ways to help you improve yourself.
Teacher shows a summary about how to improve yourself. Make students fill in the blanks according to the given information.
