Step 1 Lead-in

1.Watch and talk

Ss are going to watch a video about quarrel between Shrek and the Donkey and talk about what they can get from it.

T: First watch a video and think about two questions: What's the relationship between them? What happened?

Ss: They are friends.

T:What happened?

Ss: They argued.

T: What else?

Ss: They parted.

T: Did they talk top each other?

Ss: No, they don’t talk to each other anymore.

T: Very good. We know friends often argue with friends. So, did you argue with your friends?

Ss: Yes.

T: Why?

S1: I lent 100 Yuan to him but he forgot about it.

S2: I waited for her at the cinema for 1 hour.

S3: He got a new friend and didn’t play much with me.

S4: I wanted to copy her homework and she told the teacher.

设计意图: 观看一个主角吵架的视频,由此引出阅读主题,并引导学生思考与朋友吵架的原因,在对话中引出新词,并为阅读充分创设背景。
