六、教学过程

Step 1 Warming-up.

Free talk: What day is it today?

What is the date today?

Who is your favourite singer/writer/actor/scientist?

Step 2 Warming—up.

Show the map to students, ask the students try to retell the life of Shakespeare.

Step 3 Summery.

Summery the ways to write about life history, including the times,jobs,what,how.Try to say out the main words and phrases.

Summery the simple past tense.

Summery the regular of simple past tense verbs.

Let the students one by one say out the simple past tense verbs as quickly as they can .

Read them quickly and loudly.

Step 4 Exercises.

Check the answers of part 1 . Talk about Betty’s life in Quincy.

Check the answers of part 2. Talk the past life of a father.

Get two students to read out the dialogue .Check the answers of part 3 and ask the students to read the dialogue together.

Step 5 Reading.

Look at the picture and talk something about Deng Yaping.

Check the answers of part 4 and try to retell the life of Deng Yaping with a map.
