Have a free talk with Ss about their last holiday. Then ask : Did you take photos? What kind of photos did you take?

Use some photos to help Ss understand the sentences of Around the world better.

T’s holiday. Let Ss ask only three questions about T’s holiday.

Review the wh-questions about the holiday.

3. Ss’ holiday. Work in pairs, and talk about Ss’ own holidays.

4. Watch a short video of Tony’s holiday. Girls ask questions, and boys answer them.

5. Ask Ss to Complete the postcard for Tony.

6. Ask Ss to change the verbs into the past tense. Then summarize the rules of past simple regular verbs.

7. Let Ss use the verbs to fill in the blank. Then ask Ss the reason.

8. Ask Ss to talk about What else Tony did with one or two sentences according to the photos and the given words or phrases.

1. Ask Ss to make the paragraph better.

2. Analyze what Ss should write in this part(body).

Analyze what Ss should write in the beginning and the ending. Then ask Ss to discuss together.

Divide the students into two groups. One is for the beginning; the other is for the ending.

Ask Ss to read Tony’s passage, then analyze it again. Remind Ss of the special points they should be aware of. Finally, ask Ss to write.

Let some Ss show their emails to us and evaluate them.
