Warming-up

Teacher’s activities Give some classical music (The Blue Danube, For Elise, The marriage of Figaro) to students and let them guess the names of these pieces of music. Ask students if they know the names of the music’s composers.

T: Dear students, do you like music? Today I bring you some beautiful music? Can you listen and guess their names?

(Write down “composer” and “concert” on the blackboard.

Students’ activities Listen to the music and guess the name of each piece of music and then try to remember the key words on the blackboard.Purpose Let the students understand the new words from context, e.g. classical music, composer, Vienna, the Strauss family, Mozart, etc.Step 2
