教学过程:
Step One:Greeting and revision
T:Good morning,boys and girls.
Ss: Good morning,Miss Zhang.
T: How’s the weather today?
S1: It’s sunny.
T: It’s a fine day today. Do you feel happy?
Ss: Yes. We are happy.
T: Look, what’s this?
S2: It’s the Palace Museum.
T: Talk about the Palace Museum.
(学生可能展示如下信息:The Palace Museum is in Beijing. It’s red and yellow. It’s beautiful. It’s old. It’s about six hundred years old. We can see some old chairs and tables in it. We can take some pictures there.and so on.)
(设计意图:通过和谐可亲的聊天拉近与学生的距离,快乐地把学生带进英语课堂中来。通过谈论故宫的相关知识,复习了上节课的重点,还可围绕旅游这条线,轻松导入本课的学习)
Step Two:New Concepts
1、T: The Palace Museum is in Beijing. Do you know some other famous places in Beijing?
(学生可能答出:the Great Wall, Tian’an men Square)
T:Yes.The Great Wall and Tian’anmen Square are in Beijing. And they are in Beijing,too.出示如下图画:Bird’s Nest,Water Cube,Summer Palace,Beihai Park让学生认、读、说,以增加学生对北京的了解。
2、T:So Beijing is great! What’s this?
Ss:The Great Wall.
T: Do you know the Great Wall? Talk about it.
(设计意图:培养学生用英语表达的能力。检验学生对以往学习的回顾和对新课预习的成果。)
3、T: Is the Great Wall far from our school? How do you go to the Great Wall?
4、T:LiMing,Danny and Jenny are in Beijing now.They want to go to the Great Wall. Please listen to Part One. (设计意图:解决学生们的语音问题,改正课前预习时错误的语音,学习纯正的英语发音。对第一部分的课文有一定意义上的了解。)
5、T:Read Part One by yourselves. Think about the questions with “how”
(学生可能问出的问题有:How do they go to the Great Wall? How old is the Great Wall? How long is the Great Wall?) 根据课文内容让学生来回答这些问题,达到自己想问题,自己解决问题的目的。教师出示幻灯片,总结学生提出的问题及答案,加深学生的印象。教师并适时地提问:Is the Great Wall old? Is it long? 并得出结论:That’s great!
6、T: They are happy on the Great Wall.Then they come back to the hotel. How does Danny feel on the way back to the hotel? Listen to Part Two.学生听后回答上面这个问题。答案为:He feels tired and hungry.
T:What does he see?
S3:He sees a restaurant.
T: Danny is so hungry.Does he walk to the restaurant?
