Step = 1 ﹨* ROMAN I Class opening and warming up

T: Good morning boys and girls. Let’s begin our English class.

First let’s play a game “stop and go”

T:Ok,Before playing it, we need to learn some directions: Go straight. Turn left and Turn right. One need to give direction and the other follow his directions. When he says stop make a dialogue with the student behind you.

Step = 2 ﹨* ROMAN II leading in

Show a large postcard and ask three questions from the last two lessons to a variety of students. Scaffold them to the correct responses. Ask a volunteer to show in the correct place on the postcard.

Step = 3 ﹨* ROMAN III New concept

Learn part 1

Jenny wants to send this postcard to his parents. But she doesn’t know where is the post office. Can you help her? Let’s listen Part 1 and try to find the answers out.

Practice:In search of the treasures.

Show a map of the classroom and tell them there are some treasures hiding in the classroom. They should try to find them out with the following dialogue:

Excuse me, where is the hotel?

Go straight. Turn left at the traffic lights. You will see the hotel on the right.

Learn part 2

Show a picture of the post office and tell the students that Danny is at the post office. Can you guess what is Danny doing here? Listen to the Part2 and answer the following questions:

How much are the stamps?

How many stamps will Jenny buy?

Does Danny need stamps?

What is Danny doing?

How many postcards is writing to his mother?

Step = 4 ﹨* ROMAN IV Consolidation and extension

Show some pictures of some goods and ask students do they want to have them? Let’s learn how to buy?

How much is this cap? It’s fifteen yuan.

How much is that postcard? It’s five yuan.

How much are these shoes? They are thirty yuan.

How much are those stamps? They are eight yuan.

T: International workers’ Day is coming. There are many goods in my shop are on sale. Do you want to buy a present to your mother? Do you want to change your old clothes? Welcome to my shop! Now , who wants to buy something from my shop?
